Engine check?

How do I check what engine I have ie. B16a/b by just jacking and looking? is there a stamp on it somewhere? thanks
 
well if it was a B18 normal case scenario you would have a B18 Gearbox.

Check on that... The stamp is just on the left hand side of the block, at the bottom... Its very easy to see...

Unless the car is a B16 stroked with ITR ECU, thats another possability....
 
Nah I'm just afraid its a B16A Engine in my EK9... Well check the stamp and it does indeed say B16b on it so thats alright....

I do get abit of constant white smoke from exhaust. First thought it was engine problem but it most likely just overfuelling with the DC2 ECU... Am I right?
