I have an 1993 eg6 with b16b engine and gearbox my ecu is -

37820-PCT-003
1115-107216

I think i have the loom from the eg6, I was told the conversion harness that i have is a obd2 to obd1,my car runs really rough under 3500rpm (if i accelerate in gear it bogs down) and there doesn't seem to be as much power as there should be from 3500rpm and over. When I start up the car the check engine light comes on and the car idles at 1500rpm, I have heard that other 1.6 vtec looms work on ek9's with some modification (I think they just put in the loom without modifying it for the b16b) anyone know these mods? I have the car 2 weeks now and its driving me nuts! Its barely drivable.

Please help! I need the car for work and its running so crappy I can barely drive it there.

My bad, I was told it was a obd1 to obd2 by rvm, he must have said that by mistake!

I checked the code and it was two long flashes which is the ELD i believe,
anyone know a fix for this?

I think that might not be my problem with the bad running though, i unplugged my
throttle position sensor and it runs far better, no power but drivable (really bad mpg though) would a bad tps cause those kind of problems? I have just put a new map sensor on the car and that didnt fix it. I've heard that you have to calibrate the tps?
Anyone know how this is done?

you need a multi-meter and to cut little slots in the tops of the head of the "screws" allowing you to turn the TPS.

Are you sure the ELD is the only thing that is wrong with the car with regards to the code showing? That typically doesn't sound like it will affect much.

download the manual and look for the fix directly, there's usually a map of yes/no questions for you to follow.

just to update it was the TPS and it wasnt calibrated right but its all good now

he lives near me

Yep, all fixed and she'll blow a real 9 off the road! Mega Lolz!
