I need another clutch and flywheel so that the machine shop can balance the b18cr crank.
I don't want to take mine out as it's working pretty well ATM lol
I'm looking at RPC sprung paddle clutch ATM, anyone using one or heard anything bad about them?
any decent flywheel good enough? Anything to stay away from?
Will probably use @Tegiwa Imports for this lot.

I had standard b18 flywheel in mine, fully forged block running 400whp

If I was you stick with oem b18 flywheel but that's your choice, clutch wise I can't remember what I was running on mine but I will go through paperwork an see if I can find anything on it

Using a cc stage 4 in mine. Quite a heavy pedal and grabs quite hard but haven't had any problems so far. Feels really good when driving quickly but I've heard they don't like being slipped during launches etc but haven't tried any hard launches as of yet. Had my flywheel resurfaced too as recommended by cc before fitting one of their clutches.

I don't mind using a stock flywheel. Just I haven't got one is all.

How much is it to resurface a flywheel? Got get a 2nd hand dc2 one

To resurface a flywheel wouldn't be anymore than £50 for that size of a flywheel I think that's all the company I work for charges

Yeah for that plus the price of buying the actual flywheel I may aswell just grab a new lightened one. I'll have the one on my c4 to sell afterwards anyway so...

I have a b18c4 oe flywheel if you want it or it's any use to you, you can have it.

I paid 38 quid to have my flywheel skimmed so it's not expensive.

So that's just the clutch now then :)

Anyone heard anything bad about the RPC clutches?

I've got one. Stage 4 unsprung (great idea for a street car lol) haven't used it yet. It's a 9 bolt cover and when I got it balanced the guy said it does fit with 6 bolts but will cause balance issues so if you go for one get three spare bolts before you drop it off the machine shop.

My current competition stage 2 clutch is the same, afew bolts less than holes in the cover/flywheel.

I'll order some extra bolts through tegiwa when I get the clutch.
Nice one!

Cost me £50 also to get flywheel skimmed. Worth it to ensure there are no problems with the clutch.

Yeah could save a nice packet over a new lightweight flywheel just using the standard c4 one.
Doubt I'll miss a lightweight flywheel with like 350hp

Also the info that came with the rpc clutch stated the flywheel must be checked and skimmed if required or warranty is void.

Yeah 500 run in miles aswell apparently.
Not sure I'm going to have time for that tbh
Flywheel will be skimmed whilst whilst it's at machine shop.

I've got a CC stage 4, i thought it broke as the car wouldnt go into gear and I had a horrible noise coming from it - but now its fixed itself and its absolutely fine
feels loads better now its been bed in for sure!
