HEy all, well i was driving along the other day and my car wont get passed 120mph, well it will but it goes so so slow, this was on a private road of corse.

my old vti use to get to 130 easy,

the car is converted to mph already.

im not that bothered by it as id hardly ever do that speed, I was just wondering!

Cheers

i have reacher 244kms (150mph)on gps in my ek9 on stock fd

are you sure you have the limiter removed?

well it was done by the company I bought the car off, it defferently reads in mph though

i would be checking where the converter is fitted! there should be a black box (small in size) wired down near the gear box! unless it been fitted behind the clocks in the dash

Im sure someone on here could post up a pic of what it looks like!

As depending on its location will depend on if it removes the limiter or not!

When the car is limited it will be limited to 111mph! ish!

Should be well able for more than that something must be up I dont think its that your speed limited as you would feel the car knock off when it hits the set speed limit

my speed converter is on the back of the spedo at the moment and it does the same as what you described dan,
got to change it and put it by the speed sensor, only 4 wires.

I thought when they convert it to MPH its automatically de-restricted the limiter?

Well miens MPH and I can get 125 easy....

:S

depends if the converter is wired in before of after the ecu.

haha i know, I seem to not care on forums! any one Iv contacted them to ask where it is!

vtec's are built to fill the clock fast not go off it fast...once u fill the clock they dont pull as hard...they will do 145mph but u need a good stretch of road to do it on....its not slow up top end cos of ur converter its slow up top cos they were designed more wit accelaration in mind not top speed....even tho seein the needle go back around to zero is cool:D
