I'm thinking to change my original camshafts for one of this bellow:

Skunk2 stage 1
Toda spec A
Buddyclub spec III plus
Spoon Sports

I just want to read some reviews of people who add one of those in their cars before I make my choice according to my use.

Thanks

dont have any of these cams but alot of people have said the skunk2 and toda are good and the spoon ones are well over priced like all of there stuff

I had skunk 2 stage 1 camshafts + skunk2 springs and retainers on a b16a but the motor had ek9 pistons, the gains where noticeable, I was able to shave off almost 1 second in the 1/8 mile time.

thats alot of time in just an 1/8 mile. would be well happy with that. i would be happy if i got 1sec out the whole mile. must be a good set up with the ek9 pistons 2

Yep, just to give you and Idea, with that setup, I did a time of 10.16 in the 1/8 mile , the car was a 92 civic hatchback cx, no air conditioner or p/s, generic ebay intake and custom made exhaust system and cheap muffler.

With my ek9 I did a time of 10.00 in the 1/8 mile, with after market ecu + cold air intake and mugen exhaust.

I was almost able to match a B16B time :clap:

mods
b16a2
4-1 manifold
decat
ek9 cat back
short ram filter

and none of these mods are top brands and i can run under 10 sec 1/8 mile times

Nice time, the track where I raced is like 6000 feet above sea level, you have no idea how this affect in times, for example with my standard ek9 I did 10.55 in this 1/8 mile track, and at a 1/4 mile track that is like 600 feet above sea level I did 9.94 :clap:

9.94 thats more like it. just shows u how much air pressur plays ah. dnt know how much feet above sea level crailraceway is cant be much max i would say is 100-200 ft

what is target whp and is ur car to be driven for daily / weekdn(e.g track day)

if you're thnking to get 170+whp (+-200bhp) for your b16a2.. it is achieveable with CTR cams + piston and few good bolt on

Yeah the car is a daily driver and my goal is a good balance at all the rpm range, I’m not seeking big bhp numbers, I’m seeking a good torque line.
My car at the moment has this current setup:

- Ported and polish head;
- Spoon Sports valve springs;
- Spoon Sports head gasket;
- Hondata intake manifold gasket;
- 64mm polished throttle body;
- Spoon Sports 4-2-1 manifold;
- Racing de-cat pipe;
- Integra type-r b-pipe;
- N1 back box;
- Pipercross drop in air filter;
- NGK platinum PFR7G-11 spark plugs;
- Spoon Sports Flywheel;
- Spoon Sports clutch cover;
- Spoon Sports clutch disk (organic);

And the reason of this thread is some reviews of some people who add a try with one of these cams to simplify my choice.
The itr and ctr cams could be a choice but for the price is it possible to buy something better and new.

nice setup you have there.. with this setup, and if budget permitted, I would go for Toda B / Jun 3 / Skunk2 S2 for the cams (getting the cam gear also a good move) with TODA / Wiseco piston combo
