Hello, i am asking here, because here guys you have bigger expierence! :) ;) So i am thinking to buy new cams for my B18C6 engine and i am thinking about Skunk2 Tuner1 or Tuner2 cams! I am thinking to skim head about 0,3mm! I want to know which ones would be the best for my engine, because i don,t rebuild bottom end and don,t want to skimm very much head! Thanks! ;)

What is your current setup?

B18C6 Engine with EK9 cams, Toda replica header 2.5", 60mm exhaust, Tegiwa Carbon Whale ***** intake, 62mm ITR throtle body polished! For now that,s all! Just now want to get some more power, and want to know which one Skunk2 Tuner cams will be the best for Street driving and ocasional track racing! :)

Have you looked at the pro series from skunk2? Personally wouldn't bother with tuner 1s. Doesn't seem like much of an upgrade from a ek9 cams to me.

Pro Series i think for street is too agressive! Need to raise compresion with bigger compresion pistons! And i don,t want to do it! I want to build with stock bottom end, and put in head some god Skunk2 internals! Now i found out that my head is never been skimmed! I think i skim head 0.3mm and buy Skunk2 Tuner2 cams with springs and retainers! :) What you think? :)

Sounds like alot of work for little gain to me, but of your set on stock bottom end and s2 cams then I guess that's the best choice.

Tbh Id just keep the engine pretty stock, breathing mods and a remap.

Then focus on gearing throw money at your gearbox and you will get a lot more performance than gaining 5-10bhp from the engine.

Logan's spot on. Prefer a decent gearbox than an extra 10hp.
Nice gearset or even just a shorter final drive ratio makes a huge difference.

Pro 1 cams with a head skim on stock bottom end works very well. I have a good few customers running this setup, providing the cams are dialed in and mapped correctly the engine idles great(will happily idle at 900rpm) and drive-ability is as good as with stock cams.

I think i stay with Skunk2 Tuner2 cams! I think for street and ocasional track racing it will be good upgrade! I only wanted to know how much need,s compression for these cams! Somwhere i find from 11:5- 11:8 , that,s are the best compression, and how much WHP could i get with this setup? :) Thanks! :)

I have a set of Skunk2 Tuner 2 cams if you are looking ;)

Tuner 2 and Pro 1 cams work well with 12.0:1 compression.
