I'v a 92 jap delsol, my pride and joy, it's ony got a SOHC 1.5 vtec which sounds nice and everthing but since it's nearly knackered i'm tinkin i may as well throw in a real engine when it does giv up. was tinkin of a B16a out of an siR, similar year, hardly be lucky enuf that it'l jus pop right in on the old mounts wen i pull the old 1 out?? r is there any other parts i should get to ensure tings run smoothly with the B16a

It would be best if you acquired the entire front clip of the EG SiR. The older cars did not come with the driver side mount that was liquid filled.

Either way, it would be beneficial to replace the mounts anyway, along with the clutch. You will need the axles, shift linkage and to also wire up a knock sensor. Don't forget that you need the 16A's ECU as well.

It's not hard to do a swap, but be aware that any money you save by not changing the timing belt, the clutch, water pump, fuel filter and mounts can ultimately come back and bite you in the ass....HARD.

Junkyards are not exactly the best places to store motors that have not been in operation.

i was kinda hopin for a straight engine block swap with ecu but notjing else, everytin else in car is a1,

should this be a problem or will it work for the time being, till i get the time and money to upgrade everything else???
