Anyone heard of a J4D gearbox??????

As the title says!

I was just talking with will (EK9turbo) & got talking about my gearbox!
So i went outside to check the code on the box as i couldnt remember it!

It has stamped on the bellhousing in the usual place!
J4D
LSD
But then on the sticker were the barcode is it start's S80 - *******

Could anyone comfirm what box this is out of & to which F/D it has in it????

there is the J4D and the N3E. first is off a prefacelift teg and second off a facelift teg.

olly- Thats all i could find too, but was wondering which of the two F/D's it was!

It is the gearbox that came with my 98 spec JDM B18C, if that make's any diffrence to anyone!

Can anyone come up with a way of checking which it is without opening up the box??????

Correct. My USDM ITR housing is stamped with J4D and my friend who bought a brand new 98spec transmission from Spoon had the N3E stamp.
