    15” ce28n on ek9

Don't CE28n's have very good caliper clearance? IIRC.

    Any OGs still about?

I recently revived an old Integra GS-R that I had sitting in my barn and have getting back into Hondas again. A bone-stock GS-R is a joy to drive compared to an F-150 work truck. I vaguely remember many of the names here! Glad the forum is still going.

    B18C EK9 Build

Really enjoyed reading this whole thread today. You are a skilled mechanic. I also like the pictures and scenery in Scotland, looks beautiful. Have you experienced any brake fade on the OEM pads on a back road yet? Someone asked earlier about that little valve/cam cover breather, what was the...

OEM's fight to make software mods illegal

I've read two articles, and I'm still trying to get my head around this one. In the US there is a big push from automakers to make accessing and modifying the on-board computers unlawful, outside of pulling diagnostic codes. It's based on keeping their specific coding/programs under wraps...

    Civic MB6 help?

Excuse my ignorance but isn't the MB6 just another civic variant? Why won't coilovers from a civic or integra (or some combination thereof) work? I've never seen one, we didn't get them in the US.

    Tune of OEM ek9 suspensions

Hey no problem! And yes, if you want it to have a slight oversteer tendency then choose a spring and damper setup where it's as stiff or stiffer in the back (IE not lowering springs). Take your time with your research. I don't know about stock damper stiffness as I've never driven an actual EK9...

    Is B18 engine forged

I've always heard the 10psi rule of thumb on stock internals. Having a good tune here goes an especially long way.

Is your lower control arm hitting your exhaust?

    Custom B16B Rods

Oh cool I never knew that! Fun fact for you guys, some parts of the US like where I live in the Northeast have our best "premium" gas as 93 octane, but the car nuts in California are stuck with 91 as their maximum octane at most stations. I literally have no idea geographically where that...

    B16 high idle

If I recall correctly, you make sure your interior heater is set to HOT, to open up that passage as well, with the car cold. Then open up your cap and bleeder screw, and see if it'll take any coolant, squeezing the upper radiator hose to expel air, even shaking the radiator a bit to get some...

    Custom B16B Rods

Engine building is out of my expertise, but I do know that Larry at Endyn was getting great reliable power at 9500rpm with 92 octane US gas. So you should be fine with that 99 you guys are blessed with. Would it be absolutely nuts to contact Spoon for their specs on that b16b, pretending to be...

    My ek9 won't start

Need answers to what Vtex said, especially concerning it running while you've had it. Oil level and condition fine? Supply of gasoline not really old? Is the timing set correctly, or is it slipped by a few teeth? That can be a culprit. Also one thing I do when a car has been sitting for a long...

    B16 high idle

So you're saying that if you start it and drive for a while, it'll idle at 1600 still, but if you turn it off and re-start, it'll idle at 1000? Whatever the cause I guess my answer doesn't change too much. But I wish I ordered my list of things I would try as- Coolant Checking function of FITV...

    B16 high idle

Yeah maybe try cleaning out the IAC with some carb cleaner, that's nearly free. I would also make sure that the throttle body is shutting fully (if you just swapped it the cable could be misadjusted?) And coolant needs to be fully topped off and bled of air to have a normal idle. So make sure...

Get 5L Millers Oils CFS Nanodrive & get 1L Free @ Opie Oils

What can you tell us specifically (chemically?) about this oil that makes it better than other choices? In the 5w40. What's the oil change interval for normal street driving? Do you have access to a virgin oil analysis for this oil?

    Steering rack

I forget if they changed the ratio lock-to-lock, but physically an EK4 one will work for sure.

The skunk springs rates are- Front Spring Rate (Tender / Main): 173 lb-in / 520 lb-in Rear Spring Rate (Tender / Main): 106 lb-in / 291 lb-in 1 lb-in = 0.0179 kg/mm The eibachs I can't find rates on with a quick google search so I stopped trying. But I'm fairly sure they are going to be...

Anyone here have 32mm hollow asr bar?

Maybe that bar would work well for autocross, where you are literally throwing the car onto 3 wheels consistently. But for street, I just don't see a reason for that size bar. Every time you double a bar's thickness, you times its stiffness by approximately 4. So just keep that in mind.

    Bonnet/hood emblem or not?

I would leave it off, but only because everyone and their mother in the US has a red H badge on their accord, civic, or integra. And to me it usually looks like they did it because they don't have the know how to install parts that actually improve the car, or they didn't have the money, so they...
