    wise decision gents, my brother's EK4 SiR 4dr sedan with B16A2 comes stock with a "6" plug & when i inspected my EK9's plug it had a "7" so off the NGK plugs & in the Denso IK22 plugs.

    the B16B comes with a "7" plug so you should at least get a similar heat range plug whether it's platinum or iridium.

    this is so untrue unless you're experiencing major detonation. we have been using Denso Iridium plugs for years now & we haven't encountered such a problem.

    get rid of the 18" wheels, it makes your final gear ratio taller making the engine work harder to roll it, stick to the 15" wheels. replace your plugs if they are still the original ones, what intake you have on?

    even with iridium plugs they need to be re-gapped foryour intended purpose, i use IK27 plugs on my race tuned scooters & the manufacturer who makes my digital ignition says to gap the plug to 0.45mm. btw gapping the plugs will not change the ignition timing of the engine.

    yeah it's bad but not as bad as that orange EK9, a Civic coupe is very common in your place but an EK9? the only place you could buy that is Japan & to ruin such a perfect car (rare to boot) is sacrilege & an insult to us EK9 enthusiasts.

    EK4's were never released in the US (EK is JDM), only the Civic EM1 coupe 99-00 came with the B16A2 engine. btw we do have a PhDM EK4 SiR 4dr sedan with a B16A2 engine.

    results vary from dyno to dyno, one dyno may read 150 & another may read 160/140hp so it is best to test using only 1 & the same dyno.

    B16B 185hp (crank), B18C 205hp (crank), add those aftermarket exhaust, intake, ECU & close ratio gears & you'll be exceeding your goal easily. even with B16B you'll have a hard time getting real 200hp at the wheels let alone 210. get the '98 spec B18C if you can.
