Honda Civic Ek9
Hello,
My name is Jake, I have owned my Ek9 for just over a month and I'm in love!
Its my first Type R and I can't over how good it is! (and not gonna lie, I love all the attention it gets) Being new to this scene I have a couple questions I hope you guys could help me with?

Okay so firstly I want it lower, I think they sit a lot nicer just being that little bit closer to the road. Is there any coilovers people can recommend? Been looking at a set of BC coilys. I'm not going to be using this on the track or anything like that, its really just a good weather car as I have a work motor and I don't need to travel much, so its not going to be driven much apart from the occasional Saturday.

Also the front seats, can anyone recommend anywhere to get them reupholstered? There not in a bad way as such, black wear in usual spots and creased a little but I want them mint! So any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I need a new indicator light relay, mine was acting dodgy but after testing it with a new relay (which didn't fit properly as the garage ordered the wrong one so its was pretty much taken apart to make it fit, so its not suitable to be in the car permanently) all indicators and hazards worked. So if anyone is selling one or breaking a civic I would be more than happy to buy it off you! (Pic of relay below)

The remote locking key sucks. It doesn't really work to be honest, I tried "tuning" it in following what I'd read online but its still dump. The range on it is so bad I've ended up just not using it. Has anyone fitted/had fitted a decent remote locking system?

What alloys does everyone have? Whats looks good? I'm watching a set of Rota Grid V's, think they'll look nice once the Ek's a bit lower.

Sorry for all the questions, just over the moon with this car! Can't believe I've went this long without the tea!
Hope to hear from you guys soon,
Cheers!!
Jake :D

Hi jake and welcome to the forum,
ask as many questions as you like, that's what forums are for,

If your looking for coilovers mainly for road use then check out the miesterR zeta s coilovers, from what I've heard they give a better ride than the Bc's. Forum members get 10% off as well I think.

You can buy replacement foams and bolsters/material from a company called capital seating, they list some parts for ek9 recaros but list more for dc2 recaros (even though they are the same)

What size are the rota grids your looking at? If you want to stay with 15" wheels then you want to be looking at something like a 7x15 et 40 to avoid having to mess up you arches

Welcome mate! Lovely looking 9

As mini said i ran meisters on my ek9 and it didnt ruin the ride and they give you plenty of adjustment

Welcome along man. Where abouts in the Borders do you stay? I'm in Galashiels.

Welcome dude, nice looking 9 there! I'm not too far from you either I'm in dumfries. I'm also breaking my old EK4 so will look out that relay for ya :nice:

Where do you order the miesterR coilovers to get the discount?
