First turbo build...

Airwerks is borg warner. Noisey turbos they are! You'll hear it spooling for sure lol
I know plenty of people who don't run a dump valve if your looking to save abit more cash....
Boost controller you can skip and just run a larger spring in the waste gate. This does mean losing handy features like boost by gear etc

Hopefully it all works out for you. Budget builds are always interesting!
What's the power goal?

Looking for anything between 350-400 bhp and I will be happy, I've got a P2t ecu what ecu do you advise me to use

I have hondata s300 in a p28. Tbh if your not tuning it yourself and don't want the features that some programs offer then it doesn't really matter

Well I would prefer to have to professionally mapped, once it's all up n running but been told to have a socketed ecu?

Basically if your not on an ecu that's "real time" so that's hondata and neptune RTP as far as I know. Then you'll need a socketted ecu. This means that it has a removable chip that has your map on it.

I've only tuned on s300 (so far) but I prefer it to having a socketted ecu.

You have to get it done to the ecu.
I have a socketted p28 laying around somewhere from my last build.

As the famous saying goes, "buy cheap buy twice"

I bought all my parts seperate like you. My turbo was a brand new turbo technics t35. And i got it for a steal at 500 notes.
Bought a Cast manifold as they dont crack like cheap ebay ramhorns. Bought a genuine tial 38 gate as i dont want cheap parts failing on me when it comes to boost control. The mild steel downpipe i made and it eventually cracked after 5 years.

Not everyone can buy off the shelf turbo kits and im one of them. Id much rather buy the bits seperate. From what ive seen some of the downpipes seem to crack in no time.

I did think the same, especially about the waste gate. Let's hope they fail whilst open and not closed....
