A Civic

Little bit more on the tucking , a little bit at a time.

Had to move the heater boxes to find the hole, that gave me the chance to clean the heater boxes out though, full of leaves gladly no animals.

Nice weather so went swimming in coolant.

Fresh ready mixed red and a new gates thermostat.

If the weathers the same tomorrow I'll drop the oil and throw in my temporary oil to give the internals a clean out.

I know lads that put a cup of diesel into there oil before changing it , run the car for 5 min and drain . They swear by it .

Really ?
Never heard of that before but never really looked into it, I've got the 10w40 Petronas stuff to use anyways, was on offer when getting the coolant do thought why not , thicker oil than I usually use so should lift up whatever's inside which shouldn't be much. Its done less than 5k on this oil but I've got a leak I need to sort so it's had a mix of brands put in, don't worry the leak will be sorted before the 5w40 goes in.

Spur of the moment oil change happened.

Magnetic sump plug doing its job but very little amount which is good.

Terrible picture, couldn't focus on the plug even with my phone LOL

Finally finished tucking the headlight looms. Also tucked the wideband and washer jets hose.

Slam panel will be replaced in the future and the bay needs de greasing .

Oh and because lows, that's one mud flap split, the other sides worse

Very good mate. I put my washer jets on my Coul
I couldn't bring myself to drilling the carbon fibre bonnet .

I had mine drilled haha, was sketchy but sits fine
After a subtle vented one next and will probably look at having on the cowl too but no idea how it'll work and again wouldn't want to drill if I get the carbon cowl.

Thanks to @Tye21 on civic life for sending me out a Tps and loom.

But didn't fix the problem, closed throttle is still high 1.4 volts and open throttle reduces , wonder if the issue lies with the multimeter, I'm going to buy another.

Doubt it's the throttle body itself , it's mechanical or could the contact need a good clean ?

Bad bits

Some surface rust on the arches , needs sanding back and painting .
Paint needs a good detail , been sat for months
Couple dents here and there , most noticeable is the drivers door, boot and rear bumper when a lorry bumped me .
TPS won't calibrate, maybe an issue with the throttle body , tried a new sensor and doesn't fix it.
Was over fuelling so a remap could sort it. Rear calipers are sticky but the new calipers are available.
Hole in the boot because of someone and a chisel, no names mentioned lol.

Wow, didn't realise my spec list was so long.

So yeah , not for definite yet but it's possible it'll go for the right offer, I'd make a lot of money splitting it for parts but no space.

More footage

Car wise, a friend has said he will help get it back up running and how I want it so stay tuned with some updates, maybe.

First we're going to throw on another throttle body since we've tried two sensors already.
If it's not that then he's going to look throughout the wiring loom and see what's what.

Put everything back together , set the TPS as low as possible which was 0.6 so it idles at 2k now which is better than 3k as of before .
Wot is 0.3 so any sort of harsh throttle it bogs down , at least it's sort of drive able to get to the unit tomorrow so my mate can see what's going on.

Got it insured with sky too , decent price with mods declared too.

Inlets back off to trace the loom for any damage, nothing so far.

Removed the bracket because it's not even being used.

Now I'll leave Dan to do the wiring inspection , while it's down at the unit little bits will be done.

List off the top of my head is :

Rocker cover

Track rod ends , inners and outer

Intake pipe

Intake heat shield

Rear seat brackets removed

Might try and borrow his wire drill bit and clean the rear of the sound deadening to be able to give it a quick coat of paint

Toe arms

Rear drop links out and replaced

Shifter out and replaced

Whatever else I can think of

K20 might come sooner now

I'm past the point of spending more money on the b18, it needs a remap and £350 to gain probably 10HP isn't worth it although drive ability will be improved a lot.

Just can't find a K20 that matches my chassis mileage , meh
