List of suspension parts to replace

Hi Guys/Girls,

I've got an EJ9 with a b16a2 in it and I have taken it off the road for a 'Refresh' & some TLC, I'm looking for a list of suspension parts I should be buying I.e bushes, track rod ends? it's on HSDs, I've got front a rear ek9 arb so should I replace the links on them? Also when I last had it tracked my camber came back as uneven :/

No need to replace the drop links unless they are broken. You can get camber arms pretty easily if you want to sort the camber out if it's out a lot.

Could go for a full hardrace bush set to freshen up suspension! Don't poly bush rear trailing arms though oem Honda or hardrace will do!

And with respect to the track rods/ends and droplinks ect! If there is no play or wear they shouldn't need replaced

Again for camber, I'd go hardrace front and rear arms toe arms allow easier adjustment but not 100% necessary as it's adjustable on the oem arms! avoid skunk2 rears as they don't like uk climate/weather a set I had barely lasted a year before the lock nuts corroded off!

Can check the RTA bushes, LCA bushes, camber arms/ball joints, drop links for any play/looseness etc. Inner and outer track rod ends if need, check by wobbling/pushing the wheel by hand left to right

I've got a genuine set of rear trailing arm bushes kicking about somewhere if you do need a set.

With regards to the freshen up I wouldn't go too mad replacing things like track rod ends unless they are knackered. It's always worth going for hard race lower arm bushes etc

What's your plans for the car is it going to be a track car or a road car ?

Ahh thank you.

Planning on mostly road use and a few odd track days dipends on if I enjoy track really, I like the idea of track days and I enjoy my car but not sure if I am a good enough driver in all honesty. But if I'm going to have a good suppose having a go car helps haha!

I'm sure you will enjoy your first track day. Your better off doing a full day track day rather than sessions at an action day, a lot less idiots about.

Practice makes perfect, having a well setup car underneath you will fill you with confidence once you've gotten over the original nerves

Your more than welcome to Join us on the next castle Combe track day, we can help you out with the car and offer pointers for the track. Wouldn't be for a little while yet tho as were re building both cars.
