Would anyone recommend some good brake discs and pads for my build ? Its going to be around 240 bhp and its gonna be used most of the times on roads. Sometimes just some tracks. Ive got 282mm front and 240mm rear discs from Accord Type R.

I use 282mm MTEC slotted discs with Ferodo DS3000 pads. If your mainly going to be using your car on the road get DS2500

Currently using Carbone Lorraine RC5+ pads and Mtec blanks. Those pads shouldn't let you down on track.

Stoptech discs & carbon Lorraine RC6 on the front, oem & DS2500 on the rear,
ATE TYP200 brake fluid, stops perfectly and never had any issues on track.

Mtec discs get my vote too, great value for money. The carbon Lorraine pads are great but do generate a lot of brake dust and eat through discs, but that is the balance you need to make when it comes to brakes. Hawk HP and fedora DS2500 are good road/light track pads.

I agree, they're hard on the discs.
Something has to wear for the brakes to work. If you fit harder compound pads to the car, the component which wears will move to being the disc.

I have brand new honda oem 282 ek9 front discs for sale and also brand new 282 front black diamond discs with brembo pads.

Dixcel 282 discs and there pad combination . With 328 racing fluid . Give burn motorsport a shout for prices . I use them on my race car and they amaze me

Im not needing them yet as I still have plenty of meat left on my pads. But asking now to save my time when I will need them.

I'd stay well away from ds2500s, such an overrated pad that just leaves you with deposits and judder anyways.
Ive got rc6 and stoptech discs and love the combo. for a car that sees the road a bit more, rc5+ are meant to be a good compromise and a little less dusty/noisy

Hope this helps .

I've used these and found they cooked under heavy use. Probably my sh** driving style though!!
Just in the process of changing my whole brake setup. Was going to go standard Honda, but based on this thread I might try the Mtech stuff

You cooked dixcels !!!! Wow thats impressive . I race 2x20min races flat out with out any issues ,do you cook the discs or fluid ?

ATR use 300 x 28mm front discs ?

Stoptech discs with ferodo DS pads... unless you can afford a Tarox / AP / Wilwood set up
