I've had this issue for a while.
On the track the pedal is perfect the whole time.
Leave the car to sit in the paddock and the pedal will go soft.
Back out on track they will be soft for maybe two laps and then they are back fine for the whole time.
Rinse repeat for the whole trackday.
I've parked the car up since brands and now the pedal is really long and soft, I'll try driving through it tomorrow and see if that helps.

Front calipers have been rebuilt and fresh gulf fluid before brands(top quality stuff)
No visible leaks but I'll check again tomorrow.
Pads are CL rc6 front and hawk dtc-60 on the rear. Both decent track pads so I'm pretty sure it's not them.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a bit of air in the system? I rebuilt my brakes not long ago and they felt great to start with, but a week later the pedal went soft and long travel, I re bled the brakes and it was just a bit of air in the rears. Worth a re bleed?

I found a good way to bleed brakes is to get someone to hold the pressure on the pedal, open the bleed nipple, let the pedal go to the floor, they shout down when the pedal is on the floor, close the bleed nipple. Bring the pedal up and repeat a couple of times.

That way you're not sucking any air back into the caliper.

Also ensuring the end of the hose is submerged in brake fluid in the bottle so if it does suck back up, it'll be brake fluid and not air :) the method you mentioned works well, my brake pedal isn't soft at all :nice:

I bleed the system thoroughly but I'll do it again and see what happens

Try with engine turned on and bleed according Honda workshop procedure ;)

My car has no abs and runs a bias valve to the rear with two T pieces. I'll follow the procedure but I can't see it making any difference on my setup.
