Mattyssb's black caged ITB'd K24 EK9

Good little design with the rad there. All the custom work on this is excellent. Do you do the welding yourself.
Thank dude! :)

All the MIG welding on it has been done by me, yes. The only thing I haven't welded would be the catch can a couple pages back.
Car hasn't gone anywhere to be worked on other than the bodyshop.

Manage to finish the rad duct up tonight, riveted together and then bolted to the front panel.
Now its ready to paint black!

Its such a nice fit, happy with how its turned out.

Decided to change things up alittle, swaping out the big old bulky water pump/breather block auto tensioner and top ilder in favour for the Ktuned billet water plate and electric water pump.

Currently waiting for it to turn up haha

Sureprisingly really heavy! Haha

RDX 410cc injectors, pigtails ready to wire in and Ktuned fuel rail fitted.

Car came out into the daylight for once haha

Then spent today undersealing and protecting the underside after all the welding.

Also fitted the fresh new OE fuel tank along with my freshly powdercoated ek9 tie bar and adjustable rear antiroll bar
Chucked on the new rear calipers i had too.

Looks wide now its down on the floor :D

Good work

Can you weigh the oem waterpump assembly and the new Ktuned setup to see the difference?

Do you have any feedback on how well the Ktuned electric pumps work and how reliable they are?

The weight saving and less drag off the engine should be worth the mod

Thanks man!

Yeah I will do when it turns up and post the results, asking a few people and reading on some American forums people are really rating them and saying the gains are awesome!
Seems worth a shot at least!

This whole build and I'm loving the radiator duct lol
Fancy trying something similar but I've got oil and intercoolers in the way.

With your fabrication skills it would be nice if you can relocate the upper radiator water neck a little to the right, closer to the water outlet...
Other than that it is a really nice and interesting build...

id love to, i unfortunutly cannot Tig weld or have access to a tig welder to have a go! so it means send the rad out, which i may very well do still. thanks for your input dude :)

thanks mate :)
Fairly easy to do if i'm honest with some ali sheet, something worth considering if you can figure out a way with your intercooler etc
