Tdi north vs Eurospec

Since my car is running terrible and Is getting worse because of a bad map, mainly due to a failing TPS I need to get it remapped but thinking of going elsewhere this time round.

The two options are Romain at Eurospec or TDI north. Now I've not heard any bad stuff with Domain but he's over 140 miles from me and TDI north is around 60ish. I have heard some problems with TDI.

I'd like to hear everyone on here's first hand experience with both so I know I won't be wasting nearly £500 again like last time.

Romain's mapped 2 of my cars, never had a problem. TDI mapped my old DC5 and personally I would go with Romain out of those 2.

Have you considered RDT? That is who will be mapping my current car after a few friends in the know have recommended him.

It was RDT that mapped his car previously I believe. It was RDT that did mine too and I haven't got a bad word to say, only good things.

Romain isn't strictly at euro spec.
Get hold of him personally and work something out at a dyno closer to you.
He lives quite a distance from euro spec too so...

I've actually had Will map mine , he's a nice guy and all and helped me out a lot but my b18CR with half decent parts made 157.9 and is running terrible, hesitant , jerky and undriveable

I thought I'd try elsewhere and somewhere closer
EUROSPEC is far but I may message him and see what Romain could possibly do, a lot of people are recommending both EUROSPEC and TDI saying they're both as good as one another. I have been told about another company called EFI , anyone heard of them ?

Why would you think you need a re map because of a bad TPS?

EFI Parts is a guy called Chris. Knows his stuff and has done plenty of Honda's and it's worth going there just to see his R5, it's a monster! He is a proper honest guy and will tell you straight rather than messing you about. I personally have never dealt with him but plenty of friends have. You will probably find he is a lot cheaper than else where too.

One but though. I'm not sure if he tunes on chrome/neptune. definitely does Hondata though OR plenty of other stand alone units.

Although this isnt saying you need a new tune just because it's jerky, could be plenty of other things....

I definitely need a remap
But it was mapped on a faulty TPS that wouldn't hold voltage correctly.

Remap because it's undriveable , jerky , over fuelling it won't respond to full throttle instantly
It's just not nice to drive at all.

Thanks for that.
I'm on hondata so hats fine. It's never driven properly since the tune , when it was on the oem ecu it was perfect , smooth drive ability and instant power after the map it's been endless issues.

I have actually decided to go along with Romain after a discussion I caused on Facebook haha and knowing a few mates have used him on top of that never heard a bad thing about him.

Question still remains, why was it mapped on a dodgy TPS? The "tuner" really should have said its not worth doing until its sorted. Or he should have made you perfectly aware of the outcomes if he did try to tune it, so the choice lay with you.

I believed it was perfectly fine , I couldn't get it calibrated correctly when it was fitted but I was lead to believe it could be calibrated correctly through mapping, was never told anything through the session , I think it started to die on the way home as throttle just didn't feel that then it would lose power for a split second when pressing the pedal .

Few weeks later we got the multimeter out to see the voltage readings and they were way out and wouldn't set to oem specifications so a good friend of mine gave me a working OEM one which solved the issues and the faulty one was returned in exchange for another which I've not used.

Live and learn in this hobby
