You'll laugh

A honda prelude lol

Got 2 for 1500 and my god they are fun
Stock mine keeps up with a dc2 type r and itching to try it against an ek9

H22 power all the way gents!
And it's big enough for groceries/leftover bits of the gfs ep2

Mk6 fiesta st150?
I did look at them and i friend of mine has one and they just seem so god dam slow :/ maybe its just my mates one i dunno

They are slow yes for a 2.0L but sensible mods can see 180bhp+ and they don't handle all that badly :) was just a thought.

If you want fun to drive stick with Honda's..

What about an accord type r?
I've just bought one and tbh they are better then I was expecting. Handling, feel of it and that h22a7 engine sounds brilliant and is torquey.

Accord type s? 2.4...stripped out.... Final drive/diff..... Geo.
£3k buys a decent one.

EP3.

Relatively modern car with virtually no rust issues
200bhp out of the box
Parts are cheap and common
300mm brakes
Type R
Honda reliability
6spd 'box with decent ratios

I reckon some coilovers, stripped out, decent pads & tyres and a driver who isn't a fanny should do well on track.

This is my 2016 plan :nice:

I just couldn't get on with the shifter position on my jdm ep3. Just felt wrong and felt it could be easily miss shifted. Dc5 after that felt much better

Good shout, although gear ratios as standard might be a little out for track use.

Been looking into ep3's and im going to go view a few and make my mind up. Keeps me in a honda and feeds the vtec itch.
Accord might be a good shout will definitely look into.
HOPFULLY i can find a good ep3.

Watched a ep3 nurburgring youtube clip against a new skyline which sparked my interest. Didnt realise how capable they can be with right parts/good driver
