Me again

Clutch started making a weird noise this morning. Fine in neutral, then when you put clutch down there's a little bit of a grinding/whirring noise, and then when you put it into gear the noise gets stupidly loud, like a grinding rubbing rumbling noise..
Then tonight with the engine on just stationary I couldn't get it into any gear at all,
Switched the car off and had all the gears again so put it into first and switched it on and it was fine through the gears driving home. Then went to turn round in my street and I couldn't get reverse, then I lost all the gears again.
Switched car off and again I have gears :wtf:

I've got a stage 4 CC clutch...

I had similar at Pulton Park, limped the car home and it was one of the clutch springs that had broke

X2 on the above, assuming pumping the pedal makes no difference?
sounds like a broken spring tag on the pressure plate or a broken friction plate spring sticking out and binding in the pressure plate. Experienced both of these issues more than once

Fml! It's a brand new clutch :( hasn't even really had any damn abuse!

Will I have done any harm driving it home like that?

Any ideas what to replace with? :/

Did you let it bed in properly?

Clutchmasters fx400 perhaps? Im running one in my car and it's very nice to drive with. Very light pedal too!

Act clutches seem like quite good quality

Overkill clutch and you killed it lol

I have heard nothing but bad stories about CC clutches and them failing, could well be your problem

I went with an Exedy paddle clutch for my car but you also have to buy these from a reputable dealer as there are a load of fakes in circulation

I had the same symptoms with my mx5 daily and found out it was the clutch when it decided to finally give up!

I thought CC clutches were good! I might rethink my options now..

The clutch fixed itself and it's been fine since! think I have the odd time after a track day where it doesn't really wanna go in any gears but always starts working again! proper mystery ha

I've had the same on my ek9 and other civics, got to sometimes lift the clutch and put it down again to get into certain gears! It's pretty annoying haha
