Hi guys just looking to replace all my shocks and springs was just going to go oem.

Is it worth going eibach and oem Shocks??

anything else I should do whilst I'm at it.

Had a look around but struggling to find oem Shocks so anyone recommend some after market ones. Any links would help.

Don't want to go down the coil over route I don't think,I'm putting the car back to as standard as I can looks and handling wise.

Thanks all.

I really liked the eibach and ek9 shock combo, the front sits a bit lower than the back. Spoon shocks and springs are another great option if you have the cash and want to buy new.

Ive been trying to find some ek9 shocks to go with my eibachs. Its not easy :( mines the 1.4 so thinking the slightly lighter engine may help it be more level.

Is the type r a specific shock? Or are the ek9 ones pretty much the same??

Ek9 shocks are different but I remember hearing that they are discontinued which is a shame. Spoon is probably the closest you'll get to oem

Spoon fixed dampers and springs are superb :nice:

Bit expensive, but highly recommended.

Coilovers are **** on the road. They make you slower and less comfy.

I dont blame you.

I agree about spoon dampers + progressive springs, not the N1 coilovers for which I'm 100% with you.

I'm with oifovo on this, eibach springs and ek9 shocks are great especially for the money!

I've never heard anything about the spoon setup, I might look into trying them myself:drive:

I've got ek9 shocks and springs on my ej9 and it feels really good , front is slightly higher however with the lighter engine. Thinking I might get eibach springs at some stage though. my eg6 is on tein springs and Im afraid to push it on .

Same for me on my EK3 before selling it.

However with Bilstein B6 + DC2 springs it is much better, front is at the same height than rear. When you empty the back of the car, rear is slightly higher and it gives a good look and balance.

I think the questions first should be "what are you after" from your car?
Do you just want a normal OEM daily driving civic? Or are you after a fun daily driving civic?
What is the main concern? Performance on road? Price? etc?

To make an informed decision, you want to first decide what you want, then get the right parts for that goal.
Because other wise it is just naming brands and prices, but it doesn't actually do you any good unless you know what you want.
