High guys... I'm getting the last few pieces together to get the car up and running.

I'm using hondata s300 management and i'm needing clarification on something (because I'm retarded)

Boost by gear... does this require the hondata boost control solenoid? Or can it work with say AEM truboost?

Pretty sure truboost is an independent boost control system.

To use Hondata boost by gear you will need the boost control circuitry added to your ECU (it may already have this) and then wire that into a boost control solenoid (either MAC or Hondata own brand - you may be able to use the solenoid from truboost but you wont be able to have it connected to the gauge).

I'm guessing you've already sourced a MAP sensor?

Personally i would sell the truboost and just use the Hondata for all your boost management.

If you still want a boost gauge buy a stand alone gauge for giggles.

Thanks man. I haven't got anything other than the s300. Wanted to know before I bought stuff I couldn't use. So hondata map and boost solenoid it is.

Ahhh gotcha - yeah Hondata 4 Bar and Boost solenoid are the way forward - the Map sensor is awesome as it requires very little setup (pretty much plug and play).

I mounted my solenoid right on the Rad for minimum pipe routing.

What wastegate do you have? Think mine was 6mm but check the wastegate and turbo fittings for dimensions as they can vary.

I suggest moving the solenoid away from heat sources to prolong the life of the solenoid.

I did wonder if they were affected by the heat, will try it behind the left headlight in that case. No issues with running longer vacuum hose?

Apologies for missing the later replies.

I'm using a tial 44 mm.

Wiring up the solenoid now but I'm a little confused by the information from hondata...

I'm using a p30 ecu with s300 and jumper harness. The hondata info says for jdm ecu use pin a17 and have the other wire through a switch to ground. Or. U.S. Ecu use pin a11 with switch to 12 volts.

Is p30 considered us?

Is your ECU square or rectangular?

Rectangle. Think it came out a UK eg vti but could be wrong.

Wire to pin A11, this is the ground output for the solenoid so you will need to wire a switched 12v to the other wire on solenoid. Have you installed the required components to ecu in order for the output to work?

Nice one thanks. The boost control hardware was installed with the s300. I believe that the output can be tested from manager? I'm doing this now so will update later with results.
