S80/S4C 4th & 5th Gears

Hi,

I have a 98 spec S80 gearbox on my B16B engine and thinking of replacing 4th and 5th gears with the shorter 4th and 5th gears from an S4C gearbox.

Would I need any other parts apart from the main and counter gears or is it a straight swap?

It's a straight swap.

I will recommend you to only take the 4th gear. So you still have a long 5th gear on highway.

Here in Malta we have no highways and longest roads are a couple of km long at most all twisty and speed cameras with a limit of 80km so does not really makes a difference. Im having a hard time sourcing these gears and only managed to find 4th gear from the US which makes me tempted to just go for 4th gear in the first place

Tegiwa imports sell the 4th and 5th honda oem gears brand new and there not very expensive either

Yeah but expensive as hell!

Managed to sort these out from a member on here and quite happy with the upgrade. Massive improvement.
