Aaron's 96 Spec JDM DC2 (NEW 30/5/16)

Well I thought it was about time I started a thread of my DC2 before I start doing too much work and dont take any photos or update the build thread. Didnt take any photos of the car when I first got it (at least with my camera) probably got some phone ones but the quality wont do the car justice. The car was owned by a close mate of mine so knowing it was well looked after I always said that if the day ever came that he had to sell it, id have it and guess what? That time arrived! Picked it up and I was over the moon, heres a brief spec that I know of:

Of course I couldnt resist buying parts already, I had a seat lying around waiting to go in, my rails turned up today so I got that fitted. Bride Zeta Protype Carbon Kevlar! Also fitted a Jap plate to the front because it had a shortened UK one and I kept the Js Racing rear strut off my Jordan and threw that on, along with my broadway. Bought a headunit aswell because the other one wasnt there haha, touch screen etc all good! So here are the photos.

Starting to come along already, absolutely love the seat, always wanted one! Will probably be stripping it next as im on the look out for Takatas. Got a few other ideas and parts lined up so watch this space, im back :naughty:

So ive been trying to work on the car in between work and a lot of other things, but I got around to stripping the rear out and my harness also arrived big thanks to ChrisEG6 top guy :nice:

Decided I was going to keep the rear speakers in, at least for now, after driving around in my old car with no rear speakers and a Spoon N1 I decided id like to hear music again haha.

Also gave it a good clean, polish and wax, along with painting in the red line around the rim of the wheels as thats not really my thing, think it looks alot better but will only be until I have made my mind up on what wheels to buy!

Pretty sure my caliper needs to be taken apart and greased so thats the next job, meanwhile im on the lookout for wheels and a manifold. Comments welcome :nice:

Been really busy lately with work etc, was at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb today aswell but managed to find enough time to get some new Type R stickers fitted which the car was crying out for...

Much happier with those fitted! Also had a few other parts arrive which Ill get around to fitting asap. Anyone want to buy my wheels? Got to goooooo :secret:

Had a few days off recently so I decided to crack on and tidy up the inside rear, was fed up of it looking rough after my previous Jordan was sprayed and made it look alot cleaner, time the Teg looked the same. Apologies for the iphone photos but it was quicker and easier.

Looks alot cleaner than it did before, when I get chance I think im going to do the rest of the rear aswell to freshen it up :nice:

Bonnet was starting to go horrible aswell so I spent a bit of time on that cutting it back and polishing it back and also the same with my headlights. Took the car out for a drive earlier and thought it would be rude not to take some photos!

Came home and found out the postman had left my parcel behind the mat and left a note but I hadnt checked the postbox :lol:

So a job that could have been done the day before was left until now, time for a new rear plate so I could fit the Mugen Bolts. The current plate couldnt be used as the holes that had been drilled didnt line up to the original holes the Mugen bolts use, so on it went...

Everything for now, still need to get my manifold on :busy:

Looking to book some track time at some point also, so that should be quite fun. Comments welcome :))
