EG Slam Panel

Hi guys, I know its not an ek but im sure yous will have an idea. Getting a good bit of work done to my eg and have had the slam panel replaced and just wondering would it be ok to just bolt it on instead of welding ? as it would make taking the engine in and out a good bit easier ? Just wasn't sure if i would loose a lot of rigidity on the front end or anything. Anyone ever done this ? cheers
