Most of you will recognise this car as the previous owner (another Dan) had quite a comprehensive build thread on here.
Anyway I have a few plans of my own
So I'll start at the beginning, I took delivery of this very rare facelift racebase on the 1st of March (Dan kindly delivered it all the way to Yorkshire!)
The racebase is right up my street! no comforts just a pure driving experience and a great starter for a fast road/track car plus I always like anything if its rare or a bit different
Top of my list was something I could do straight away CLEAN! so I washed, restored, clay bar and waxed the whole car. It's now back to it's championship white glory!
Next I bought some new wheels, I was looking at buying new then I spotted some Wedsport TC005 for sale on here. A deal was done with LEEK9 and they winged over from Ireland. Super light and look amazing in the flesh
Thought I'd compliment them with some new lug nuts, I went for the Zerg industries set (quick test pic)
Tegiwa cooling plate, definitely tidies up the front end. Don't think it makes any difference to cooling though
New Blitz drop in filter for my DC2 airbox, had one of these in my old DC2 and it did the job.
Yesterday I took the pipe from air box off and replaced it with a Ramair 100m flex pipe routed round to the front bumper. nice increase in induction noise and slightly improved throttle response
Last picture for now. I'll update once the wheels have some tyres on them, My Meister R coilovers are fitted and it's ready for some summer fun!
