First turbo build...

Also if this a problem I probably wouldn't start - it's inevitable there's going to be things going wrong that you haven't budgeted for. My builds ended up costing me over 3x what I originally wanted to spend lol

Should have gone K20... :blinx: haha

What sort of torque are you guys getting with the pro kit or similar? Looking at clutch options.

Street kit, although it makes no difference in this case.
350hp - 230ftlbs
Depends on how much power you want to make?

With pro kit - 265ftlb @ 10 - 12psi via CC stage 4 clutch

Gt30? Impressive that at such low boost
What's the power? I'd expect that at like 1-1.2 bar.

Yeah Gt3076R. 365 bhp.
Romain said he was impressed with it. He said the whole kit and setup is quality and works together. It made the numbers and drives good.

Nice, maybe I'll upgrade in the winter....

The Pro kit on the MB6 which had a Turbonetics T-GA 6157 turbo made 285ftlbs at circa 14-15psi, that was with a conservative map.

Defo sounds like my manifold is choking it abit.
MORE parts on winter refresh list lol

Stock c4 engine right? 15psi is alot, Guess it comes down to the tune, No doubt its still fine then. :)

Stock engine with ARP headstuds. It was putting out 300ftlb's at one stage during the tuning but we pulled it back as I think 300ftlb's was asking abit much of the stock rods. Yes still going fine :nice:

1bar. Turbonetics t3/t04b

Torque does seem rather low for the boost your running, but perhaps he played it very safe with the tune this time round. With a better manifold that offers some runner length you will pick up a lot of power at the same boost level.

Just goes to show with a good kit and more importantly a good tuner, stock c4s can handle boost all day. I don't see why you would go forged if your keeping under 1bar.

Hats off to Honda. My only real advice with a turbo build if going full out or even like you a stock internal setup. Ask questions, take your time, don't buy cheap, do it once do it right :p

its not hitting full boost till around 7k, I did ask for it to build power progressively. Like a large n/a or supercharged engine. I wanted this to try and maintain traction as best as possible.
