Just bought an ek4 vti with a gen2 spoon n1 backbox box, spoon b pipe and a japspeed 4-2-1 manifold

Any suggestions I can do to quiet it down, it's unbearably loud at 60-70mph and even worse on overrun

Iv had a look underneath the car and it looks to have an oem cat fitted but I'm unsure if it's had the guts knocked out it

Seems overloud for the exhaust specs, my previous ek4 had a spoon n1, with spoon b pipe fitted with a 4-1 manifold and decat and was nowhere near as loud

I do have a genuine spoon bung for the n1 but I woukd rather not go down this route as have heard horror stories about the bungs causing valve overheating( this would seem to be true as the previous owner replaced the engine after it burnt a valve after fitting the bung)

Anyone recommend anything that doesn't mean me loosing the n1, I don't mind swapping out the b pipe as it's just a road car

If the noise bothers you that much get a mugen b pipe they are quiet narrow despite being down as 2.5 they are quiet small compaired to most 2.5 and they have a massive silencer in the middle so that would quieten it down a lot i would say :nice:

Had a proper look under this just after I posted this, its not a spoon b pipe on the car like I thought , it looks to be a custom b pipe, 2.25 external diameter with an 18" centre box... Car doesn't rasp like it's decated so I'm stumped as to why it's so loud...My old ek4 was nowhere near as loud (this is measuring 112db at 4k with my meter)
