EJ6-EK4-EK9 replica transformation(Retired)

I got the subframe painted.

I had some paint left over and didn't want to throw it out so I used it on the rear disc hubs.

Got started on doing a refresh on the rear calipers. Got them completely disassembled. I have to wire brush them before I paint them. They are pretty rusty.
It was nice having 2 sets to piece together 1 good pair.

Also got these little things in the mail.

Caps for the coolant water necks, since I no longer have the heater core.

Here is a better picture of how the front suspension turned out after paint.

I'm just waiting on a few more parts before I start reassembling everything. A Blox rigid collar kit, thermal intake manifold gasket & extended manifold studs.

Finished painting the rest of the rear brakes today.

Hopefully the rigid collar kit arrives this week...

Few things arrived today.
The Blox rigid collar kit that I have been patiently waiting for.

This means I can finally start the reassembly..
Also got the Blox extended manifold studs. Won't be able to install these until the thermal gasket arrives.

Updates:
BWR thermal gasket. I've heard of guys having trouble running these, so I'm gonna try and put an OEM gasket on both sides of the thermal.

Car is back on the ground.

Also got the steering rack installed.

Now I'm currently working on painting the front brake calipers. Took them and the intake manifold to the wash for a good cleaning with a power washer.

Few updates:
Got 2 OEM gaskets for the thermal.

Painted the alternator bracket and clutch valve.

Also got a cheap oil catch can.

The hose that came with the catch can was for the 15mm fittings, so I had to purchase some smaller vacuum lines for the 9mm fittings.

The breather box plug should be here tomorrow.

Finished up installing the rear discs.

Had to order a new upper control arm for the driver side because the bushing seized up on the bolt.

also got the breather box plug in the mail.

I'll be bleeding the brakes tonight. It's the final step before the motor goes back in.
