Backpressure is it a mith or should i get one silencer in my exhaust?

Thats very true ya must build a track car. Ah i only drive backroads with no houses and in the middle of the night worse thing thats gonna happen is il do myself or an animal in.

I know it sounds stupid but everyone on here has done it somestage.

But you are completely right about saving it for the track way safer :nice:

And i would advise against anyone using backroads at all

What about some one on a push bike or moped trying to get home at night on a back road, or a drunk stumbling around in the road....

It's not big and it's not clever. Save the hard core driving for the track

Just out of interest - how old are you? It's almost like the 19 year old myself talking lol
Yeah, most of us have done it and most of us haven't killed anyone. But to think that the worst you can do is run over an animal is a recipe for disaster. 100 times you'll drive and there will be no one, and then 101st time you'll take out the poor sod who's got a puncture and is changing his wheel...

Some heavy reading for you:

^ Ya true never thought of that very rare though this can be locked now got the info i was after :))

Thanks very much lads :nice:

Somehow the fastest race drivers are usually (not always of course) the most "animal" ones... wild minded ones...
But yes, please be safe on the roads. Nowadays we have more available circuits than back in the day.

Just as a curious note, tons of today's professional race drivers, did the same in their past times (spirited road driving). A lot of people complained too.
Then the process was (an sometimes still is), from being called "crazy unconscious kamikazes" to become "super professional drivers, best person in the world"
:megusta:

Interesting fact :nice:

Tbf the other members wouldn't be responsible adults if they didn't atleast try and guide you the correct way. Obviously what you do is completely your choice and should be.
I do think you should get on track though, it's where the real drivers are.....

Look forward to it! Be prepared for some serious addiction once you hit that track for the first time.
Road driving will be ruined for you lol

This escalated quickly lol
you just wanted to know wha sizet exhaust piping to use and you got schooled in not to street race and what to do and what not...

You dont understand i drive my car within an inch of its life......

I let it warm up fully drive to my destination and then on the way back its pushed to the edge of its limit

So id notice every extra hp :run:

Ha i want everything i can get out of it ;)

@waff Your dead right il do that thanks :D

Why don't you show members how your last car ended up?! You clearly have learned nothing from the crash you had some months ago, which judging from the pictures of car after crash you were one lucky lad to come out alive from.
If you continue to drive "my car within an inch of its life" on public roads then chances are we will all be seeing more pictures of the latest car you have put together in bits and next time you may not be so lucky to walk away from the accident or god forbid you end up taking someone else's life due to your careless driving.
Time for you to smarten up a little! As some have mentioned already if you want to drive like that then do so on track where you are in a much safer environment.

make a custom exhaust that is as straight as possible
straight trough design resonators wont affect power
they work only as sound cancelers but they add some weight in the system.
consider yor hi comp set up i would go with a 2.75'' - 70mm exhaust using a hi flow cat and 2 big resonators.
Also a 2.75'' - 70mm exhaust will let you more room for future engine upgrades.

WHAT HE SAID.... I agree 100%

Hmmm haha so 50% say 2.5 and 50% say 2.75 :blinx:

Because its mostly a road car id say il go with 2.5 just for the sake of my hearing even with the adjustable exhaust :))

Thanks lads :nice:

You clearly didnt read my post about me building a track car above :megusta:

And i just meant i will notice the power because the car will be in regular use.

But thanks anyhow for the useful post :nice:
