was on the web site and saw the I team I wanted at $599 then I said I was in the uk and put it to €599?

On a second note with a s80 FD fit a Y1 gear box?

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question, but if you want a good currency converter check out xe.com

$599 USD = £399 GBP
599 Euro = £445 GBP

So I see what your getting at, What's the £46 for?

If it was bought as the USD price

+ 20% tax on shipping + postage

I'd say the item to your door will cost around the £500 mark

Stuff from America always looks like a good price until you get an email or phone call from the likes of UPS or Parcel force telling you they need a payment before they can release your item for delivery... Hateful.

I don't think a S80 will fit, there's two different versions of the S80 too, The 4.4 & 4.785, you need the correct input shaft.

yeah i get alot of stuff from the US, built a ls2 s14 ;) cos i dont really want to buy a s80 if i can just fit the FD to my Y box, the Y box fitted to a b16b is no fun let me tell you

You'll only pay more if customs know the value of the goods.
The true value.....

But be careful, because if you don't declare the full (real) value and you insure the package, in case of lost or damaged goods you only would receive around what you declared...

And I dont know in the UK, but in Spain if you receive the parcel by normal post (Royal Mail for your country), most times they ask for invoices of the items to see the real value; they want the value justified. But if you receive the parcels by courier (FEDEX, UPS, DHL, etc.), these companies won't ask you for any invoice and will charge you only for the value which is declared on the package attached invoice. Without asking if this is real, or it is not.
