Description:
After nearly 2 years of ownership i have decided to sell my ek9, the reason being is i would like a manual e46 m3. I would love to keep the car and have both but im not in the position to store it. I purchased the car in 2012 from Duncan @fastjapcars, well known on the forum. This is a genuine racebase facelift ek9, according to the recent thread http://www.ek9.org/index.php?threads/ek9-in-numbers.66194/ there where only 288 of these versions made.
This car was imported by Private Imports into the country in 2008, racebase ek9s where light weight lower specced ek9s intended to be raced. I will list the original spec, modifications and service history/work below. I am a qualified technician and have carried out all of the work myself, i have thousands in invoices and a large build thread on the forum.

2 weeks after i purchased the vehicle from duncan it spun a conrod bearing! A replacement bottom end was sourced and fitted. I have invoices to backup nearly all of the work, and pictures in my build thread.
When the replacement bottom end arrived i
Inspected bores for wear
Replaced all gaskets
Stripped oil pump and measured within honda oem spec
Then replaced:
Water pump
Gates racing cambelt
OEM cambelt tensioner
OEM valve stem seals
OEM Thermostat
Spark plugs
HT leads
Rotor arm
Fan switch
I also did some work to the chassis while building up the engine
Brand new driveshafts
Replaced engine mounts/fitted poly inserts
Under sealed the car
Resprayed engine bay
Painted suspension arms and bracing
Rebuilt all 4 calipers
OEM rear trailing arm bushings
Balljoints
ARB droplinks
ARB d bushings
Front wheel bearings
Once the car was back on the road i have kept it maintained accordingly and have a comprehensive history
I recently replaced:
Oil
Oil filter
Sump plug
Gearbox oil
Gearbox oil plug
Set ignition time
Fuel filter
Sump and rocker cover gaskets
Spark plugs
Airfilter
Thermostat
Coolant
Brake fluid
Clutch fluid
Exhaust gaskets
Rebuilt both rear calipers
Rear wheel bearing
Track rod ends
As every car there are bad bits, and i am very honest as i dont want to disappoint.
Mechanical:
Slight oil wheep from removed pcv system
Valve clearances may need adjusting (i have oem tool to do this and will)
Cosmetic
The car is in overall good condition with soild arches, ideally both front wings and rear bumper could be resprayed to make the car "mint" and the wheels refurbed. As a few small parking dinks. But overall a honest and very solid car!
Please feel free to ask any questions, more pics etc!
