Jeez its been a while sinse i have been on here :D Basically its time to change my car again, i only ever seem to keep them for a year then get bored!!

Ive had enough of Evo ownership cost an arm and a leg to maintain/fix/modify/run and i want to start saving for a house within the next year or so. So this weekend i should of hopefully sold it and instead of spunking the money i have saved to spend on the Evo i want to spend half of it on a new car, and im thinking of an S2K.

I have a budget of 7-8k and was thinking i may get more for my money as winter is coming.

I just want people's opinions on them in general (heard they can be abit twitchy when not set up properly), what to look out for when buying one, best place to buy one (i.e what forums), the general stuff really.

There isnt many for sale on fleabay and non that particually 'wow' me. I should get a fairly decent one for my budget, shouldnt i?

Thanks in advance :thanks:

s2k's are good cars but ive had 400bhp 200sx road cars i have a 200sx v8 pro spec track/drift car but still my little ek4 vti makes me smile more than any of them :)

S2K is a great car, but every half decent modification costs atleast £800, tyres if you buy quality is up near 1K for all 4. Basically to mess about and mod like a civic its wayyyy more expensive.

In standard form its the best honda Iv driven (iv owned an s2k/ek9/b18cek4) and have driven all the rest except an NSX. It feels like it needs another 40bhp though IMO.

I had one for a year and after 6 months I bought another EK civic. Nothing beats them IMO. Cheap to mod, make your own and great fun to smash about. Im no longer a figure chaser and I dont care about what the guy next to me drives, so Im perfectly satisfied, feel no need to 'upgrade' etc.

Twitchyness is exaggerated IMO but it does take getting used to, getting the alignment etc is a great plan for them.

owned and Evo V before my EK and the costs of everything got into me, hence the switch to an EK

early this year I switched to an S2000 (AP1). you'll love everything about how it drives except for the power (the lack of lol).

Found the same after driving an s2000. Real drivers car, super responsive pin point handling. Feels special to drive, great seating position. Just the engine feels quite weak. Peak power is ok but 3-7k is lacking.
I suppose it's a characteristic of the engine-high revs sacrificing torque.
I'll still get one next year though- brilliant sports car.

So much truth!

I think this emphasises that Honda did a great job, you have to spend good money to upgrade anything!
