why my b16b oil cover in black colour?

Dear all,
I just buy the ek9 ckd halfcut,
but why my b16b oil cover in black colour, not the chrome one?
Below is my engine. I had point with green colour pointer.

Maybe the previous owner liked a black oil cap!

I would be more concerned about engine condition than an oil cap.
 
Black is better, it's iirc 5 grams lighter (actually lol). I have a chrome one here if you want to buy it, I couldn't care less what oil cap sits on top of my engine!
 
Are half cuts still easy to get hold of? Do they come direct from Japan ?

HM motors seem to get a few Straight from japan. Think they're in the US though.
 
is the chrome not just a cover on a normal cover anyway? doesn't look anything special anyhoo
 
I believe they are as nicole says, a shiney cover.
Only an oil cap end of the day. Unless your going for a full oem, factory spec ek9 restoration I wouldn't worry about it.
