Hi, EK9.org members and admin, joined this forum to make a statement. Presently I am non licensed to drive and do not posses or own a car, just worked on a 2000 Honda Si, diagnose a rear brake light inoperative (inner right rear) but parking light does function. Installed a valve cover gasket, and spark plugs, but has an oil leak from a part that is next to where the plug wires connect thingy. Not sure what part name?? that is where the oil is leaking. For now just intro myself and going to make thread with picture so maybe get help as to what part I need to fix oil leak. Also joined because I am sure to see some Pics of tricked out Honda Civic's

:welcome:

Can you post a photo of the leak?

The leak is near the distributor correct?

Hey,, answer yes to question> is near distributor, part is mounted in front exhaust side of distributor seems to be leaking oil that drip down to block in front of first cylinder exhaust pipe or at least where the head mates to the block front exhaust side. just found factory service manual free online am checking through it now to see I can find out name of part.

I'm pretty sure you have a distributor O ring leak :)

Thanks for the replies-suggestions btw & will be looking into send some pics as well, it's not my car (yet:ek9:). working on car for current owner.. Whats a good price to buy or sell this 2000 civic Si in decent shape. going to put alarm and kill switch on car for current owner but he's looking into buying S2000
