MTS Garage Racebase EK9

Thanks for the comments!

I haven't done much to it lately, I've been getting settled into a new job which means I now use it to commute to work so I may put some interior back in and will be putting the steel wheels back on to save the tyres on the TE's.

I did go to Honda a couple weeks ago and pick up a couple oil filters, new 10mm bolts, grommets, gaskets and other various clips.

I swapped out some of the bolts starting to rust and showed my little brother how to check plug gaps. My headlights need a good polish too.

I was too late to get on track at Japfest2 but still had a good time watching some of you guys out there.

Went to Blyton Park last month, a long drive to get there but had a really good time. It's smaller than Combe but bigger than Llandow. Defiantly want to go back for a different layout.

Xtreme Sports were taking pictures on the day, these are my favourites..

After Blyton I gave the Civic a check over and found one of the front discs had cracked in a couple places.

So ordered a pair of StopTech discs and fresh ATE brake fluid.

Re-greased the carrier pins while the calliper was off too.

Mtec disc? Friend did that on his(now my) ek9 at the ring last year.

Pictures from blyton look good, track looks quite narrow there.

What pads are they? I have some pads sitting here that look the same colour but no markings

Car looks fantastic just functional, love it

Cheers!

Not sure bud, think they were on the car when it was imported.

Stoptech, good choice :nice:

Hopefully last longer!

I'd say it's a little thinner than Combe, still pretty big though.

They're Project Mu pads, not sure what model. Great pads though hardy any wear and good bite.

Mmmmmm yes! I like this one.

:nice:

Time for another update now I've found the wire for my camera.

For a while the clutch master cylinder has been leaking, I should of fixed it earlier but needed a few days off work to do it and a hand to bleed it so it had to be put on hold.

Picked up a braided Spoon braided clutch line when it popped up for sale as well.

The bulkhead was quite a mess from the leaking fluid.

Old clutch master cylinder removed and clutch pedal for better access, a wire wheel attachment removed the loose paint and left a key for the new paint.

Hammerite smooth white was the closest match in the range, this was after the first coat.

All back together, I don't think the braided line really made much difference compared to the new fluid but it was worth upgrading while it was out.

really nice man. Can't get enough of this 9

I have the same job to do on my car now. Mine was like it when I bought it.
Seems pretty common for the cylinders to fail as my dc2 had the same issue as well

Exactly the same issue on my ek9. Used hammerite just like you did lol

It's not too bad a job, I already the interior which saved time. I thought about grabbing a can of championship white to go over the top but have the carpet back in now.
