Nicole's turbo black ek9

nice drivin on track seems like ur ridin the clutch a small bit tho or could just be the box and are u nervous when ur behind other ppl Lol but very good driving haha

Just watched the track session in the Saxo again and noticed the "I miss my Recaro's"

Great vid Nicole! Saxo sounds really good I am surprised.

Need to get some heel and toe going on ;-)

Also stop feeding that steering wheel! This is a habit I used to have and leaves you not incontrol. Hands should remain in the 9 and 3 driving position if the corner requires more turn take one hand to the top and use that to pull round more.

So right hand turn left hand remains at 9 o'clock your right hand goes to 12 o'clock and vice verca.

Teesides a very very cheap evening so there's lots of first timers, and the briefing is non existent, people dont know how to move over to let you pass and I'm pretty cautious if I dont know for definite they're letting me through :)
God knows whats up with my hands, I never drive like that lol! Teeside is very tight and it was my first time out on track in this car so was just getting used to it again before it went bang :( my hands always stay at 3 and 9

Got my engine apart this week, head and block are ready to be sent off. Heads being skimmed and I'll rebuild it at home. Blocks being decked, oversize .5mm, honed and having my crank reground. Then just need to order correct size oem bearings and it'll be built up by the machine shop :) yay
Haven't really got many photos, just a few insta shots. Trying to document as much on vid as poss so I can make a video at the end.

My little one is surprisingly used to engines all over the house, he spent last winter eating his breakfasts with a saxo engine instead haha

Sooo much easier than a saxo compressing springs..

love this car, good to see someone really looking after this and still getting it round the track aswell, keep it up !

Can't beat a little bit of engine in the house action!

Just a little tip, before you fit the new stem seals use a cotton bud to smear a little bit of silicone grease(Dont use normal grease)around the inside of the hole in the new stem seals,

The valves will just slip up through easily, it will also prevent any damage being caused to the seal by the grooves in the valve stems.

Most people don't do this and wonder why their new stem seals leak

Need an ek9.org ring trip next year, esp with all the engine builds going on!

I'd be well up for a ring trip once I've made sure its reliable in the UK! :D

Engine bay is stripped ready for paint!
Excuse the driveshafts tied up so it can be moved. Shes back on the ground with wheels on and everything :D
Fuel and brake lines will be cut before paint too. Fair amount getting welded up and relocated. I'm one for function over looks but I can't resist a simple empty engine bay

They also checked my crank before any block work to find its bent, so I've got another one. this one defo looks in better nick but I'm glad I sent it all off to be checked now.

And got my rocker back from having fittings and baffles welded in. Also had the original breather welded up, so this will go off for paint again with my car :)
