Just looking for some advice

Putting a deposit down on my mates B18C today this will be going in my Jordan in a couple of months. Will be buying a LSD box first before it goes in but would also like to put a light flywheel and clutch in.

What would you suggest is the best flywheel and clutch combo for a B18C with bolts ons and a map (possibly a close ratio box as well in the future)?

Any help would be great!

You gonna be daily driving too? I use the dc2 oem clutch with mfactory flywheel which is not bad for daily/ occasional track. Depends on what you're after tho. Also, I'll be selling my ek9 gearbox with the LSD in a month or two. Not sure on price yet as I'll need to find out about it's condition as it crunches on 4th sometimes

I'd go with stock clutch aswell tbh.
I'm also likely to have a box forsale soon
S4c with a 4.7final drive and stock LSD or an s80 4.7 LSD box depends what I decide to do with my build.

Hey Logan, I have 3 gearboxes, 3 flywheels and 3 clutches lol. If you want to go with a standard EK9 S4C LSD box, EK9 flywheel and OEM clutch I should have all that! As above, OEM clutch is all you need, as for flywheel that really depends on personal preference, but lighter is better imho ;)

Thanks guys! Looks like oem b18c clutch and the lightest flywheel I can find :p

As for the LSD box I will see what is available in a couple of month once I have the engine :) thanks again for the help!

I'd recommend a steel flywheel rather than Fidanza or other aluminium flys. I have a Fidanza home which practically fell apart due to different expansion properties of steel and aluminium. I don't trust it anymore and so I won't be using it, feel free to come and have a look at it if you want!

You must of got a bad one because I've had mine and it's done track miles and it like brand new

I'm certainly not the only one. All that happened to mine is that all the dowel pins got loose and fell out, but there are videos on YouTube of the whole starter motor ring separating and fitting a new bearing is a right pain as well as you need to use a special Loctite to hold it in place (again - a steel bearing in alu fly). My gearbox is too expensive to risk even a remote chance of the flywheel falling apart. Considering the cost is pretty much the same as a full steel flywheel I know what I'll be using in the future.

All I'm saying is my flywheel has never gave any bother don't need to throw a wobbly lol my mfactory box was 1500+ and I ran it with confidence :)

Not getting wobbly :D Just sharing my experience, that's all ;) I genuinely hope they made yours better than mine! :nice:

MFactory Racing Clutch (6-Puck Carbon Ceramic Sprung, perfectly streetable, with close to oem pedal feel) + MFactory Racing Flywheel (1pc Chromoly Flywheel, weighing 9lbs) - US$584.95 inc free shipping :)

I have a karui 4.4kg fly with OEM clutch for £80

Also got a box and Mugen diff with FD MFactory all built with new seals and bearings for sale currently.

I have had a fidanza 3.4kg flywheel fitted with a exedy stage one organic clutch for the past 4.5 years. Great combination! The oem is very similar but the exedy is designed to take a bit more abuse and you can feel that difference.
