Just fitted a k-tuned shifter to my ek9.

The gear stick seems like it is slanting a bit away from the driver when in neutral. Is this something I can adjust. I've tried to take a picture to show what I mean.

Bad picture but you can see that it is leaving to the left. Any ideas or is it just how it is?

I wish I could help you, can't help but think it's not quite fitted correctly?

I'm pretty sure it's right. If it was the other way it would lean a lot further. I'll have to have mess with it.

What shifter bushing are you running? ever changed them? Mine did this until I fitted the M'factory bushing set.

Just an idea, i'm sure it is the fitment of the new shifter, unless it was slanted before fitting?

Not been on for a while sorry. Im using oem bushings. The oem shifter was straight.

I also have the K-Tuned Pro Circuit racing shifter. Why did you twist the elbow so much? This shifter isn't the same as the previous version of the K-Tuned shifter because the elbow on this model is NOT adjustable. It has to be completely straight so that the 3 allen screws will seat correctly into the partially drilled holes on the shift stick itself. If you twist it a little bit and mounted it, then it won't be seated firmly and securely. I can see why somone would twist it though because it's more comfortable and towards the driver more but this version wasn't meant for that adjustability. The whole shifter components have to be completely straight and aligned with this particular model. My transmission is very old because these cars are old to begin with. My transmission is almost 20 years old. Things are going to wear out. Inside the transmission, there are two small springs that try to keep your shifter in the center while in neutral position. We constantly move the shifter around (probably a million times). We are constantly putting the shifter in 1st gear which is the left side. This causes the one spring that pushes the shifter to the right more worn than the other spring. Before i got the K-Tuned shifter, my oem shifter was already slanted to the left. Even on my old engine before the swap, my OEM shifter on that engine was also slanted on the left because that spring has been worn out throughout all those years. Are you absolutely sure your old OEM shifter was centered and not slanted or did you not pay attention and just assumed it was? Here is a picture of mine that I took for you, 10 minutes ago. My components are completely straight and aligned together unlike yours, and it's still slanted which is absolutely reasonable as i stated above. I am absolutely fine with it. Nothing wrong. The e-brake lever also gets worn out over the constant use of it throughout the years so mine slants to the right making the shifter look more slanted than it really is to the left.

Yet again forgot about this thread sorry. I've come to the conclusion that the original shifter was probably slanted too but I never noticed.

As for the elbow being rotated, mine doesn't have and of these locating holes you speak of.
