I have a 2000 civic with a 1996 b18c jdm swap in it. Ive already repinned the whole ecu wires to run the obd2a ecu and it runs fine. Only issue is when i stop to refuel and remove the gas cap then refuel the car will not start on first crank. There are no cel codes and no other issues with it...

Alternator sounds like the regulator inside is shot...typical symptoms that you described.

Yes thats what i thought around 180km/h or 112mph, but as stated I was able to go past that on an obd2a type r ecu. Does anyone know how it is possible to get the limiter removed or what company does it on the obd2 ecu?

Hello, I thought after purchasing my b18c jdm swap that it would come with a speed limiter on the ecu. The ecu is obd2a so these supposedly aren't able to be tuned or have the limiter removed unless you buy a piggyback ex.:hks. I have been able to go to 130mph and had no issues of the limiter...

Ok so an update regarding it. After replacing the oil pump, pan gasket and pressure sensor it is no longer an issue . The light goes off within a second and no longer has the noise from the topend on cold start. I checked the oil and it was fine no gold swarf, i still have the original oil pump...

Only question i have regarding that is i have no noise from the bottom end, so would the clearance issues cause it to loose pressure for extended periodsof time? I only had the issue of the oil light for 3 seconds when it was left parked for 2 hours or more, other than that it was a non issue...

I intend on running the hamp im just waiting for it to be shipped to me. This gold swarf i will definitely check for and being that its non magnetic sucks, but i will let you know.

Yes i actually have a new itr oil pump im installing today along with oil pan gasket and oil pressure sensor. i just purchased the motor from an importer shop here so its relatively new, the motor looked immaculate internally when i opened it up. And i have a magnetic drain plug for the oil pan...

If the problem started after you had the car serviced and was not happening prior to the service then you have figured out the problem, now it is just a process of elimination. I would start by re checking the valve clearance as this is not adjusted correctly it will cause the engine to stall...

Ive always run an aftermarket Vibrant performance hi flow converter with metal core. Like a straight pipe without being completely hollow, also keeps the cel off. And if you put in 2 bottles of Iso heet aka ethanol it will put out numbers that a Toyota Prius would be jealous of. :D
