OK so here's the deal I was cleaning my car and all of a sudden it knocks of I go to turn it back on noting just clicking and not the same sort of clicking that a battery makes so I presumed it was starter when I turned ignition I could hear fuel pump priming then when I tuned key clicking so...
Not that odd of a question just seeing peoples toughts havnt a clue about mileage of the engine been honest seller gave Me his word it was a good dry engine so that's all I can go on.
So would it be better to just sell the vti engine in parts
Hey I have a eg6 and it had a vti engine in it the bottom end went when I had it out on the track. I have bought a sir engine and going to take out the vti engine and put the sir in my question is should I do anything to the sir engine before I put it in for example timing belt water pump head...
Ye I'm definitely going to try changing the iavc I have a sir civic in she'd so I'll take it of that ye like o said idels barely over 500 until heats up then it idels were it should around 7 to 8 hundred rpm
No ill try sensor and earth's so I've only tried cleaning iacv and checked vacum lines so far. Car idles around 5 to 6 hundred when ya start it. Once it heats up to normal running temperature it idels around 750 to 800 mark pal
I cleaned the idle air control valve there last night hoping it'd fix my problem no luck I checked vacum lines all seem ok does anyone think I might need to replace my iacv I'm not sure what else to do?
