Sup guys, the names Simon and im from the United Kingdom, being building this Honda since i was 16 and im 18 now, purchased the car completely stock knowing how much of a huge project I was getting myself into, and as usual it got worse as I got further into it, I changed my mind a lot through the years and now have finally got set on what I want, I try to buy all genuine and brand new parts where I can because im dedicated to perfection so all the little details matter, especially the condition of parts so I will throw some pictures up!

When I first got the car;

14252246517_e4f5b3bd53_c.jpg

When I got the car safe and sound at home I started ripping out the interior

Fast forward some amount of work and were here:

14611865571_2723602cb6_c.jpg

Only signs of rust I found so far, nothing to bad, I guess it was expected really;

14613080744_97bb90e38d_c.jpg

14592118986_e320874181_c.jpg

I could see daylight through this!

14428557799_6fcb9d5004_c.jpg

Once I got all the inside stripped out I wasted no time in driving the car in the garage and unbolting all the exterior panels:

14611894531_0578a6e6a7_c.jpg

14615081015_eaee259969_c.jpg

14428477359_08666d7a14_c.jpg

15301003256_cb78e517a2_c.jpg

Once the panels were all removed I could focus on the inside, in particular I started with the rear lighting loom section, so passenger side first;

15137294729_de3ec61f0b_c.jpg

Then chased it around the drivers side corner;

15137290159_7a2b4a3b86_c.jpg

Until I was left with this;

15320878601_131bf0f4bd_c.jpg

Decided to take some photos of how it sat before i went in to deep;

15323709892_759cf29318_c.jpg

15137483237_772e5e4702_c.jpg

But.. then i did;

15324028815_feb38b59ba_c.jpg

Ripped out the old d14 engine;

15137311510_5d06690301_c.jpg

Now with all the engine out i could set to work on removing everything else, so started with the drivers side suspension and hub assemblies;

15301156296_64fdc30fa7_c.jpg

Then onto all the wiring and brackets in the engine bay;

15324202135_5c7cfd1ce1_c.jpg

15137593688_381b0f2aa2_c.jpg

Once the bulk was gone it looked fairly straight forward;

15321027671_a32265c7e3_c.jpg

15137435299_c8130d6eb7_c.jpg

15321018181_cf4d22ed02_c.jpg

Then come the time for making a custom stand for the shell that was higher than axel stands so we could comfortably attend to the underside, so we fabbed up this;

15137633207_fa62cea250_c.jpg

15137572718_21f1bf1cc7_c.jpg

15137418549_a06a878080_c.jpg

With this built we could easily access the underside, and attended to the fuel lines an tank, the tank will be replaced with a brand new one;

15137562768_39efd0f1ce_c.jpg

So now the shell was well equipped for working on and just about stripped, we got to work, cut out two pieces of rust on the front inner wings;

15321203891_1ecab7920d_c.jpg

So got that rust killed and rust primered protection slapped on;

15324367135_69f187c692_c.jpg

Now heres the inspection of the rust else where on the car;

15301280696_52772d6172_c.jpg

Once all the rust was found it was time to get to work on killing the rust using rust killer and primer, the parts in black is the rust killer treatment and the brown was after three coats of rust killer;

15138100007_88f324ecf4_c.jpg

15301597636_afde6d0560_c.jpg

Inbetween all that i removed the rear section of the sound deadening;

15324305132_c7aeb42858_c.jpg

And discovered that all the floor plans have holes in both footwell corners due to factory designs;

15138024888_3f57414d9c_c.jpg

Anyways back to the rust killing and arch weldings;

So the cars had some work done to it, i started by starting to fill the pop rivet holes for now until i can mock the engine up!

15137876148_16dc956a62_c.jpg

15137922417_9e22fd8e6a_c.jpg

Then i cleaned most the inside up from the sound deadening residue and removed the rear seat bracket;

15301416226_d31e97a08d_c.jpg

15137905827_298c05f6cc_c.jpg

Then since all the rust killing is complete i painted the underside gloss black;

the arch reconstruction is under way

14286644873_85bc00a212_c.jpg

shaved all the seam sealer off the inside welds for a smoother look and used some putty just to neatly seal it;

14266043134_d417a687ff_c.jpg

14266439105_bf9e261c98_c.jpg

Started on finalising the sound deadening removal to but its such a tedious job;

So another three parcels turned up this week so here we go;

Firstly a brand spanking new fuel tank

15365130138_309ba700ce_c.jpg

15365262227_79649d98d0_c.jpg

Then I received my Rywire mil spec tucked wiring loom;

15552134192_418c7de029_c.jpg

15364662249_28d15a6363_c.jpg

I also bought the Rywire k series harness adapter for 99-00 so there's a dash loom and dash change coming too;

14931100673_641f0029d4_c.jpg

Lastly came this box from the states;

15527613096_3a6d32f3c8_c.jpg

14931130193_81e2381cec_c.jpg

BNIB honda access rear shark fins, stupidly rare over here;

15364673099_1d8728f5ec_c.jpg

Picked up some new wheels, staggered fitment Volk SE37's, the specs are;

4x100
2 - 16x8 et22
2 - 16x7 et42

Going to be running the 8j's on the front with some 225's or 215's and J's racing 99-00 fenders as the previous owner ran 205/45 all round and i dont like the stretch;

15701350171_1076f57f1b_z.jpg

15679549996_0fa0d94c1f_z.jpg

So now onto the pictures, this is the first time using a proper camera;

15083946103_d2d4c872a0_z.jpg

15083909593_14a0b967a2_z.jpg

Going to be ordering some new centre caps for them and some stickers because i want them minty fresh;

15703287745_1112f57a54_z.jpg

Opted for the Skunk 2 Alpha kswap manifold. 2.5" to mate with my Js Racing 60rr catback so onto the photos;

15974072646_ef25665b44_c.jpg

15814095107_3794bb1f08_c.jpg

A match made in heaven id say! I wanted to get a Js Racing manifold to match the rest of the system but i didnt want to spend around £800 and it not fit as there is only very limited information on the web to whether cl7 accord manifolds fit the ekk2 swap without catching the subframe. But it looks great with the 60rr and im sure it will sound amazing too;

Js Racing 99-00 Carbon front lip;

15533417174_38d75505c2_c.jpg

And my brother bought me this cool book for christmas;

16155009902_97bb019d1d_c.jpg

Just ordered a Js racing gold emblem for the centre on the lip

heres a photo I took of the se37's and spoons: im looking at buying some 6pots instead of the spoons

16519822667_a064cafc9d_c.jpg

and something I picked up just the other day; massive thanks to @Jdm Dc2 type rx

16837480185_c5087474ba_c.jpg

that's all for now all upto date on my build

Yes logan my exact thoughts!

One question with your wheels you going to be running 225 on the 8" and 7" aswell?

Shame everythings fake.

:megusta:
I love fake stuff

I am yeah, I may have to run 215's in the end though since im looking at selling the spoons before the cars done and buying some of the Js Racing s2000 6pots so I may need to space the wheel out some which if I do I don't want to faul the js wings il be running with 225's. A lot to think about at a later date
Mega build lots of expensive parts
Thanks man, thought id get this up so you could see what home your seats have gone to
