well folks as my previous thread said
i dyno'd my car with;
itg airbox
decat
remap

this made 176 on a dyno dynamics .....

so i bought then ;
buddyclub header
and exhaust

the car made a max of 170 , even with tunnin no power could be made upon vtec .....

so i stripped it back to stock where i kept lossin power with each mod removed , so i changed the plug leads with a spare set the garage had and it shot up over 5bhp
so i bought leads and plugs and put all mods back on , still no power maxin out at 171 bhp ,
so i tot the dizzy was done for so i bought a rebuild kit for this now with all tat repaired i noticed my rpm gauge fluttering ,
turned out to be the ignitor so replaced with old one and all was ok so went back on the dyno today and still cant break the 171 mark

compression is perfect
the car is not Smokey
im gettin spark
im gettin fuel
and no cel

now this has me stressed to the max
has anybody any idea what the hell is goin on

Have you tried to run it on stock ecu and see what power it's putting down?

car is runnin same power on stock ecu
cud this be wear on the vtec cam just worn down ?????
a bent valve or someting????

Compression and leak down test would tell you if there is a problem with the engine. Compared to before is power up anywhere in the rev range with the new mods?

no where at all really the hole graph is down compaired to last time
done compression test and i have between 240 and 250 on all 4 cylinders

Try a leak down test this will indicate if some valves aren't sealing right and or piston rings.

cheers man wud this cause the issue????
i was also tinkin cud i have spun a bearing?????

Perhaps but wouldn't be common. Hardly jumped timing? Even one tooth off would effect power.

Doubt you spun a bearing it would be knocking like hell by now if it did.

no timmin is bang on iv had to mechanis look at it urban and my faters friend both checked with timing gun

I meant cam timing not distributor timing i.e when at tdp of cylinder 1 the cam pulleys line up with each other

mate of mine had this problem and he also had an itg box. the only difference bein he had car dyno'd with standard teg r airbox and made 192 i think or in or about and he changed exhaust , put in itg air box and he only made 189 something.

the tuner removed the itg box and just put a flexible pipe(no filtr) from intake runnin out to the dyno fan/blower(just to test it) and car made 194 .. he put back in his teg r air box after all.

i'm not sayin its ur itg box , but just said i'd say it to you.

He had the airbox on before it lost power so I don't think that is the problem. Get the cam timing checked as even one tooth off on either cam can effect power even though it may seem to run fine

yeah airbox is doin its job .....
il have it looked it as soon as i get a chance
is ur ignition time not based off ur cam ????

had the car out today took a good blast tru the gears and notice wen i change gear its fallin completely out of vtec and i have to build up about a 1k rpm again to reach vtec

Sounds like cam timing to me you need to it checked, even if its to eliminate it as a problem.

Dropping out of vtec? The brakes arent seized are they?

@Vtec6000 , if you had partially or seized brakes on a dyno dynamics would it effect the reading?
