Knocking noise

Right so over the last two weekends I have been hearing a knocking noise from the front of the car.. Today I got a chance to have a look.. There is grese coming out at the side of the inner cv joint boot.. Would it cause it to knock though as the knocking only happens on rough roads. One of my track rod ends look a bit worn so will change that to as I think that is the problem.. But may fix the driveshaft problem to.. It seems to be coming out of the edge of the boot.. i cant find any hole.. Will it be ok to just put in new grease and put it back together with a new strap??

Sounds like your cv joint may be out of grease, you could try re packin it with grease and this may stop the knock.

If it was me i would change the track rod end pack the cv boot and see if that solves it for now

Not uncommon to see them throw some grease out. Did you check your front drop links? Or anti-roll bar bushing?
