what exact parts would i need to change the final drive in an s4c box to 4.9 or 4.7?

does it make much a diff to accelleration?
 
1.ring gear 67theeth
2.counter shaft 14theeth
3.1st gear
4.collar
5.neddle bearing 2pcs

fast accelleration than 4.4
 
With OEM 4.7 FD, you dont need to change 1st gear. I've got it on my box.
 
i am also thinking of changing my final drive to a 4.9 . i thought it was just a case of changing the final drive and thats the job done . will it not fit or work if i dont change these parts to ?

were will i get these parts from are they standard parts or after market ? what kind of price will all the extra parts add up to ?

if its a m factory 4.9 fd then you shouldn't need the different 1st or bearings,

just the counter shaft
ring gear
nut.

pm m factory on here and i'm sure he will be able to confirm or advise.
 
b16 mini is right, the 3-5 list you have is parts needed to fit the 98 spec ITR FD =]
 
We specifically designed our final drives to address this issue. Nobody really wants to buy extra parts when installing these bits.

Our FDs are designed to go in with no additional components.
 
needle bearings and collar are need with aftermarket mfactory and ats final drives:nice: the first gear is only needed if your fitting 4.785 from the 98 spec itr as far as i know
