Ok just wondered can someone give me an idea about these camber arms for the civic ek.... it seems that a lot of the kits that are available use the same mouldings stamped with SO4R and SO4L depending on left or right arm. Can someone tell me what the difference is as the ebay kits are about 80 quid whereas the branded names such as skunk2 and D2 are double the price?

here are a few links.... notice the stamp on top of the arm..

Different quality of Bushes and Metals would be some of it. Then obviously name tax is a bit.

thanks for your reply. has anyone had any direct experience with this? when you refer to different quality of bushes and metals I presume you mean the copies are of a less superior quality? How about the fact they use the same casting does this mean they are made in the same factory and distributed to the different companies to put their own logos etc on?

The open top eBay copies can sometimes fail, there are sk2 copies out there too. I prefer the closed top design like buddy club and hard race. The buddy club suffers from Allen bolts that corrode but that is easy to fix. My concern with the eBay reps is trusting them to be structurally sound and not fold up or have the ball joints fail. As for how they look with regards to casting, why change something that isn't broken. Only ones that are different are spc's and hard race, imo these are better than the rest.

My thoughts exactly just found out tonight by looking on my car that ye arms which have been fitted are called 'GodSnow' they look bet similar to the eBay ones, however they do have the markings SO4 o. Both arms but they are clearly a different design to the skunk and dc
Ones il post a pic of a similar set .....

Mine has Skunk2 fitted on the front and rear, no issues :) I greased the bolts before fitting, a little preventative maintenance goes a long way with suspension!

I have skunk2s on my DC2, the balljoints did about 40k before getting noisy but the arms and bushes are in fine condition. The new (Version 2) Balljoints (cap head screws go in from underneath) look to be better than the originals at a glance.
