what size brake master cylinder on stock ek9

hi guys, as most of you know i have an ej6 that i converted to ek9, i was just wondering what size the stock brake master cylinder is, i believe it should be stamped on the side 15/16" someone told me it was 1 inch, if thats the case, it will be stamped 1" can someone please verify? i just want to make sure i have the correct unit :thanks:
 
post a picture of where you want me to look, i can check that on my car when i get home :)
 
its the thing you put your brake fluid in, the metal shaft the resevoir sits on should be stamped on the side, ill try and get a pic.:thanks:

After reading on the internet, integra type r and EK9 civic type r has 1" master cylinder.

I think that you bought the one compatible with your car, i'm not a mechanic but after seeing the picture,s i assume the ek9 civic type r master cylinder is not compatible with your application. :angry2: Correct me if i'm wrong :D

It should just bolt on...If you still want to get a 1 inch master cylinder just get one from a late model integra or similar car with ABS.. This way you can get away from paying more for a CTR one. You might just need to bend one on the brake lines to line up with the holes
 
ehhh, ill just use the 15/16 one i got, its still bigger than the stock 13/16 that comes on the ej6. thanks for all the info everyone.
 
Can i use master cylinder 1" on stock EK3 brake booster?
Ek3 Brake booster its the same on EK9?
