I suspect its a case of a toothbrush and a lot of time...

I was wondering if, given the quality of the 'post your engine bay' thread anyone had any tricks up their sleeve when in comes to making the engine and everything around it spotless? :secret:

G.P.C. spray, lots of cloths, tyre-shine (turtlewax - for pipes), them mainly plus lots of elbow grease. :nice:

Don't forget some old cardboard underneath to catch all that oil/dirt/grease combo that will spill down and can stain surfaces. Cover up vital electrical components/airfilter with plastic bags and tape if you're going to be using lots of cleaning fluids/water and make sure engine bay has cooled off. And like Will said, lots of elbow grease.
