Oil cooler reused after engine failed !


I wouldnt be keen on the idea. All that metal particulate circulating through it...
 
If you clean it like your life depends on it it should be ok,

Wash it out with brake cleaner to de grease it,
Then run a hose pipe through it for a good time then blow it out with compressed air
 
Will be fine mate take off the ports and I'd let it soak for a day or 2 and give it a real good clean
 
Nah no chance. It's impossible to know for sure that you've got everything out. It doesn't take much to completely wreck an engine. One of the most important things is that everything is clean.

No way, they aren't mega expensive so why risk it? Hoses, fittings and sandwich plate could be easily cleaned but not the cooler.
