Yet, another S2K project

Oil cooler installed today.

Mishimoto makes a very nice thermostatic sandwich plate
with its replaceable thermostat which is also adjustable;
180F or 200F. -10AN ports.

This is a shot from below the car.
-12AN outlets to and from the oil cooler,
reduced to -10AN at the cooler.

Needed a more slim fan to allow oil cooler to fit.

do you have gauges in this?

Hey Alan, factory gauges only, for now.

In the past Ive played with standard gauges as well as higher end setups ie AiM, all work well, however I no longer think they are needed as much. So on this project I am adding in cooling where I know it is needed for track use, just not monitoring.

The oil cooler, Fluidyne 18row plated, in the S2000 was used on a kswap civic which cured the over heating of the oil during high ambient temps and hard track use. S2000's run hotter over the civics so to me this was a no-brainer.

If any gauges will be added, it would only be oil temp and water temp. For now...nothing. :)

Cut the plate air guide to a closer tolerance around the reservoirs.

^ This guy! What has it been, 6-7 months since I was out to visit? Don't even recognize this car anymore!

Definitely made it your own! If i could fit in an S2000 comfortably I would have made the switch. But now it's too late! Far too busy racing wheel to wheel to make an S2000 work with my frame!

track photos are epic :D car looks so at home there

Thanks.
Soon to be a track only car. It really feels much better at track vs. public streets. Soft setup for street which is not very fun.

Sanoma Raceway (Sears Point) September 6th.
Will be interesting as I have a way better grasp of the RWD and suspension setup.

Ill also try to figure out if the over-steer really needs to be cured via adjustable front ARB.
My thinking is with 800lb springs and adjustable coil-overs I should be able to dial it to my liking.
I can already feel a difference with the help Ive got from Eibach and other friends...

Und Videos this time around too.
